The People Behind Precision

Alex was born and raised in Greer, South Carolina. From a child, he has always had an interest in art and design. He received an Associate’s degree in Architectural Engineering before attending Clemson University. He graduated from Clemson in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture. Alex has been in the landscape industry for the past 15 years holding various jobs in design/build, golf course maintenance, botanical gardens, sales, and most recently, owner/operator of Carolina Greenery. He has a passion for serving others and creating outdoor living spaces.

When Alex is away from work, you can find him outdoors, spending time with his wife and kids, or playing sports.

Ben grew up in Naples, the “grape country” of Western New York. He received a degree in business management as well as taking several classes focusing on environmental science. Ben has an extensive history working in construction and landscaping, and even started his own company delivering high-end home and landscape solutions to clients in the Cliffs Communities.

In 2017, Ben joined Precision so he could continue to deliver great results and work alongside others with a like-minded goal and vision. He oversees all aspects of each installation, and enjoys making genuine connections with each client to bring unique designs, perspectives, and solutions to every project he touches.

When he isn’t overseeing a landscape or hardscape installation, Ben enjoys soccer, woodworking, and spending time with his wife and kids.

Jake started his career in landscape design and construction as a teenager, mowing neighborhood lawns and working at several garden centers in northern New Jersey. He achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University, subsequently working on luxury residential properties around the New York City metro area. Most of his 20s he spent working in San Diego on large resort developments in Baja Mexico and southern California, most notably the Terranea Resort south of Los Angeles.

Moving back to the northeast in his 30s, he continued to work on international hotel & resort projects until he had the opportunity to be part of the design and construction team rebuilding New York City’s World Trade Center district, following the 9/11 attacks. Adding a Master’s degree in Construction Management, he and his wife Kate relocated to Greenville in 2012, where he managed hotel reconstruction projects throughout the southeast, before starting his own solo residential design practice in 2015.

Now a 25-year Licensed Landscape Architect, Jake brings an eye for thoughtful design mixed with detailed construction knowledge to Precision, creating special “resort-inspired” spaces in every residential project. He enjoys cultivating his own garden, cooking or grilling almost every day, and trying to keep up with his two young boys!

Love of all things green started for Tim at an early age, assisting his grandmother in her gardens and landscapes. Whether cultivating seeds taken out of salads at Disney World, breeding new cultivars of potatoes or propagating trees from the family forest in Germany, his grandmother instilled in him the value of plants and the vital role they play in the health of humans within their environment. His family has a history in forestry, and he was part of a 4th-generation family sawmill from an early age. Hearing from his father and great-grandfather about the forestry practices learned in Germany inspired him to take his passion with him wherever his travels led. He worked at his local garden center in Saratoga Springs, NY, throughout his teen and early college years. He found the most enjoyment in assisting homeowners with landscape designs and plant selections.

Since 2003 Tim has been a Certified Arborist and has been involved in multiple disciplines throughout the green industry. His passion revolves around the benefits, both physical and psychological, that a healthy, beautiful landscape can provide. It is this passion that has driven him to never stop learning, pay attention to the details, and to see the potential in every landscape.

“All the world is a stage,” and it is his vision to help set the stage where lives are lived and memories are made.

Nick grew up in South East Michigan, where he spent his high school years mowing lawns and developing an early appreciation for outdoor work.

While he briefly pursued computer science in college, he soon realized that he preferred the open air to the confines of a cubicle. Determined to build a career in the industry, Nick started his own lawn service business from scratch, with no clients and no truck, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit. After selling his route to a competitor shortly after the birth of his children, Nick sought to expand his expertise and joined Hardscapes, INC, working his way up and learning every aspect of hardscape installations.

His passion for outdoor living spaces led him to relocate to Indiana, where he founded his own Design/Build company specializing in creating unique and inviting outdoor environments. Always eager to learn, Nick continued his hardscape education and earned ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute) certification as a Residential Specialist and Concrete Paver Installer, a designation now known as CMHA (Concrete Masonry and Hardscapes Association). Nicholas’s dedication to craftsmanship and personal growth shines through in every project he undertakes, as he transforms ordinary yards into extraordinary outdoor living spaces.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Nick maintains an active lifestyle through physical fitness, appreciates fine wine and cuisine, and seeks out new experiences while traveling. These interests enhance his commitment to outdoor projects and provide valuable perspectives for his hardscape design practice.

Wes’ passion for outdoor spaces started early, growing up on a farm in East Tennessee, where being outside was just part of everyday life. That foundation naturally led him into landscape construction and design, where he now brings over four years of hands-on experience to every project. He thrives on the creative process, specializing in transforming blank or underutilized spaces into personal, inviting, and durable outdoor environments built to be enjoyed for years to come.

When not working, you can usually find him with his wife and daughter, spending quality time together. He also loves hiking and biking in all the great places the Greenville area has to offer, and loves to unwind with a good movie. His commitment to both family and the outdoors drives his work, ensuring every space that he creates is personal and inviting.

Tyler was born and raised in Greer, South Carolina. He grew up learning about lawn maintenance while working for his uncle’s lawn business throughout high school and college summers. Tyler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from North Greenville University and began his career as the Assistant Grounds Keeper for the Greenville Braves. Tyler formerly owned and operated Moore Lawn Care for over 10 years, where he built his success through investing in relationships with his customers while providing them with excellent customer service.

Tyler lives in Taylors with his wife and two boys. They are active members of Taylors First Baptist Church. He enjoys watching his boys’ sporting events, running, being outdoors, cheering on the SC Gamecocks, trying new recipes on the smoker and hanging out with friends and family.

After having worked as a certified automotive technician for close to a decade, Philip moved from Michigan to Greenville in 2014 to assist and eventually oversee the maintenance division at Precision. While he has filled several roles through the years at Precision, he currently enjoys serving our clients as an Account Manager. His years of on-the-job experience have created in him a passion for integrity and quality in the work his teams perform.

Off the clock, you can find Philip spending time with his family on their small farm/homestead, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, or out with friends enjoying a great beer.

William was born in Charlotte, NC, and grew up in Columbus, GA, before spending time in the Midwest for 6 years. His professional career in the landscaping industry began when he returned home to the South in 2017, where he developed a passion for helping clients enhance their outdoor spaces. With almost a decade of experience in the industry including maintenance, sales, turf and plant care, and account management, William brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to quality service.

Now living in Greer with his wife and five children, William enjoys spending his free time fishing, hiking, and making memories with his family outdoors.

Originally from Waterford, Michigan, Stephen has been with Precision since spring of 2016. Having filled many roles in the Lawn Care division, he is now an Account Manager and Lawn Care Specialist. With a desire to serve and get you the best solution for your lawn, he is an excellent resource for anything relating to grass. His favorite hobbies are hanging out with his wife and son, Formula 1, coffee, and craft beer.

Originally from South Carolina, Scott brings a strong focus on relationship-building, communication, and customer care to the Precision team. As an Account Manager, he is passionate about helping clients understand their landscapes, identifying opportunities to enhance their properties, and ensuring each client receives consistent, high-quality service. Scott values clear communication, trust, and follow-through, and he takes pride in representing Precision’s standards in every client interaction.

Scott and his wife enjoy spending time with family, serving in their local church, and staying active outdoors. In his free time, he enjoys music, learning new skills, and finding ways to grow both personally and professionally.

Eric was born and raised in Texas where he grew up farming. He moved to Lake Keowee in 2021 from Atlanta where he lived and raised a family for 20 years. Eric has two daughters, his oldest daughter does PT in Bluffton, SC and his youngest daughter is a sophomore at Georgia Southern University studying pre-med. Eric has an undergrad degree in Construction Management and a Masters in Public Administration and Law. Eric has been in construction for over two decades with experience in various facets, including landscaping, commercial, government, utilities and residential.

Carlos was born and raised in Colombia, always surrounded and interested in nature, he moved to New Jersey in 2008, starting in the field of landscaping at Drew University and acquiring the necessary experience to enter one of the best landscaping companies in the area where he remained for 13 years, managing to perfect his knowledge in maintenance and landscaping. In 2023 Carlos moved to Greenville SC, in search of professional growth, joining the Precision Landscape team as a crew leader, thanks to his experience and knowledge he was promoted to production manager. He is excited to provide the best service and motivate his staff.

Personally, Carlos enjoys spending time with his wife and son, playing soccer and supporting his son in sports training, as well as getting to know places with his family.

Dan Griffin moved to Greenville, SC from Waterford, MI in 2005, bringing with him a love for Michigan sports and an obsession with all things landscaping. After familiarizing himself with the Upstate market, he founded Precision Landscape Management, with the goal of creating a company that would always employ best practices in sustainability and landscaping. Nate envisions Precision as a company that grows client relationships, and he professionally develops his staff on a daily basis.

When he is not learning more about leadership or the green industry, you can find him enjoying the outdoors with his family or playing soccer.

Originally from Wisconsin, Jeremy brings over a decade of leadership experience in the green industry. He is passionate about developing people, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring Precision delivers exceptional quality and service across all operations. After attending Clemson University for his Master’s in Horticulture, he enjoys continuing to learn and sharing the knowledge of proper cultural practices with others.

Jeremy and his wife, Charity, have six children. He enjoys spending time with his family, watching college basketball, and experiencing the change of seasons, especially Fall and the return of colder weather.

Geoff has an extensive background in operations and logistics, with a focus on process improvement and customer service. He moved to Greenville in early 2022 from Pittsburgh. He enjoys anything automotive related, craft beer, pizza and being outdoors. He has a particular passion for attention to detail and service.

Geoff gets the greatest joy out of life hanging out with his wife and two children and always striving to improve the world around them.

Jon is a transplant from Milwaukee, WI with nearly 20 years of experience helping clients meet their outdoor construction needs. Jon helps guide our sales team as we strive to provide a premium experience. He also owned and operate a drone photo/video production company for 7 years working with several Fortune 500 companies and professional sports brands in the Milwaukee area. With that experience he also heads up the Precision marketing team as we communicate our brand to the community.

When he’s at home he loves to spend time with his wife and 2 children, playing golf, or sipping bourbon.

Since 2015, Claire Welch has overseen operations at the Seneca location as Branch Manager. First for Zone 7 Landscape, and currently for Precision Landscape Management after the purchase of Zone 7 in Jan of 2023. Claire is a Seneca, SC native and only moved away to obtain a degree in Business Management from the University of South Carolina. When not at work, you can find Claire enjoying Lake Keowee, brewery hopping, or at the local CrossFit gym. Claire currently resides on Lake Keowee with her husband, sons and two dogs.
